Nationwide — Zyla Blue Lott, an African American teen from Covington, Georgia, graduated from high school with high honors at just 15 years old. She’s now starting college at Kennesaw State University, where she plans to major in Software Engineering.

According to 11 Alive, Zyla’s academic journey began early. At age 4, she tested with an IQ above 124. By the age of 9, she was already in middle school, taking high school and college courses. At age 11, she earned her first college transcript. She started high school at Eastside High at 12 years old with most of her graduation requirements already completed.

Despite qualifying for early graduation, Zyla chose to stay in high school longer to focus on personal growth and enjoy the full experience. By her junior year, she was ready to move on. She applied to several colleges near home and was accepted to all of them.

Zyla chose Kennesaw State University for its strong academics and vibrant campus life. She hopes to earn her doctoral degree before turning 21.

Outside the classroom, Zyla enjoys reading, creating mixed media art, and watching anime. Her family and teachers describe her as focused, grounded, and full of positive energy.
