Ufot Ekong from Akwa Ibom, Nigeria, made history in Japan by solving a 30-year-old math problem during his first semester at Tokai University. He graduated with first-class honors in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, earning six academic awards including the prestigious President’s Award — the first African in the school’s history to do so. Now an engineer at TMEIC, Ekong also co-founded a retail shop in Japan to celebrate African culture.
